Poroshenko about the new EU sanctions against Russia: “Honored answer for Siemens”

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko welcomes the introduction of new sanctions by the EU against Russia over the scandal with the gas turbines in the Crimea. This is stated in the message of the head of state on Facebook.

“I am grateful to the Council for a final decision to impose sanctions against Russia for precedent with Siemens. Deserved response for contempt of contractual obligations and a strong signal to the aggressor in the unshakable unity and solidarity between the capitals of the European Union. Together with the EU will continue to guard an effective regime of sanctions, what we talked about during the summit Ukraine-EU in Kiev”, – said Poroshenko.

The President emphasized that attempts to circumvent the sanctions with the help of cynical schemes only increase the price for the aggression.

“And this be (sanctions – ed.) until it is restored the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea”, – said the head of state.

As reported today, the EU imposed sanctions against Deputy Minister of energy of the Russian Federation Andrey Tcherezov, head of the Department of energy of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Grabchak and Director General of Technopromexport, Sergey TopoR-Grilka and Russian partners of the company Siemens.
