The Pope congratulated Orthodox Christians with Christmas

Pope Francis congratulated “in the spirit of brotherly love,” the Orthodox world a merry Christmas (Julian calendar).

The toast of the Pope was proclaimed from the window of the Apostolic Palace, addressing the pilgrims who filled St. Peter’s square, with a sermon on the occasion of the Catholic feast of the Epiphany (Epiphany).

The Roman Pontiff also greeted all the participants of the traditional costume of “procession of the Magi” on the Central streets of Rome. This year the festive procession was organized for the 32nd time.
