After 2020 the transit of Russian gas to the EU will be via the best route. This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“Gas transit is a question not political, but economic feasibility and economic benefits of predictability, stability and security of supply. Accordingly, the deliveries will be made on that route which is most profitable for the seller, namely to the Russian Federation, and the guarantor of energy security, and for buyers in the Western European countries,” Peskov said on the question about whether Russia to continue gas transit through Ukraine.
