In the Congo refugees from South Sudan took hostage 13 members of the mission of the United Nations (UN), reports Channel 112 with reference to Reuters. The incident occurred on the basis of Munigi.

According to the report of UN representatives, thus refugees are required to deliver them to a third country within the next months. Most of them had previously taken part in the fighting on the rebel side.

We will note, according to UN estimates, around 3 million people in South Sudan were forced to leave the country due to violence and fighting. The Congolese government is committed to the speedy relocation of refugees, however, African countries are not interested in their reception.

As reported previously in Mali, an explosion occurred, injuring two peacekeepers of the United Nations (UN) and one civilian.
