The President and the speaker will be awarded prizes and certificates to deputies of the first convocation of the Parliament
Thursday, July 16, will be held a solemn meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of adoption of Declaration on state sovereignty of Ukraine, which will be about 150 former deputies-participants of historical eventsand which will feature President Vladimir Zelensky.
This was reported in the Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada, UNIAN reports.
This meeting is scheduled for 16:00. It invited the President of Ukraine, people’s deputies of Ukraine of the first and ninth convocations, chairmen of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocations, the presidents of Ukraine in previous years, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of the judiciary, officials, which the Parliament elects, appoints, and consents to the appointment of heads of diplomatic missions of foreign States.
During the meeting, those present will show historical footage as 30 years ago, the first in the history of independent Ukraine, the deputies adopted the Declaration on state sovereignty of Ukraine.
It is expected the speech of Vladimir Zelensky, Dmitry Razumkov, the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk, Deputy of the first convocation Igor Yukhnovsky. At this meeting, the acting President will present state awards to participants of the Declaration, and the Razumkov letters to the deputies of that historic meeting.
As reported “Today”, MP from “public Servants” Alexander Kachura told us how to work the Parliament in the summer. According to him, from mid-July to early September 4-5 will be the extraordinary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada.
