Lately Ukraine are increasingly “afraid” to attack Russia from the South. In this regard, the leadership of the Kherson region together with the military and politicians take measures to strengthen combat capabilities in the region.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Kherson regional state administration Yuriy Gusev, reports “Crimea.Realities”.
According to him, the leadership of the region together with representatives of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada discusses a set of measures for the region were protected from possible aggression.
“In recent years there have been many questions about the possible threat of the aggressor from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol. We are actively lately, talk about it with the management of expeditious command “South” General staff. We help ensure that units of the Armed forces located on the territory of our region, feel comfortable that the armed forces increasing their presence in our region,” – said Gusev.
Earlier, the Deputy Director of the Center for army, conversion and disarmament for international Affairs, Mikhail Samus told us about the threat of a Russian attack on Ukraine. According to him, the strategic doctrine of Russia “Caucasus-2020” in September can be the basis for a large-scale offensive.
