The President believes that Ukraine coped with the epidemic
Ukraine without major loss was the first wave of the epidemic and to the second already will be more prepared. This was stated at a traditional meeting on Bankova President Vladimir Zelensky, reports the income statement.
The meeting noted that the adaptive quarantine is introduced in all regions of Ukraine, except for three: Lviv, Rivne and Chernivtsi, and almost everywhere there was a transition to the third phase of easing of restrictive measures.
In addition, after removing the first quarantine restrictions in Ukraine recorded a sharp outbreaks.
“We actually managed relatively well through the first wave of the pandemic. This was facilitated by the responsibility of Ukrainians, and the strategy of containment, which we detailed and carefully developed and changed as needed. Now we have the experience, understanding and exposure, if you come second wave. I hope, then the humanity will be more ready,” said Zelensky.
In turn, the Minister of health, Maxim Stepanov said that the contract with the National health service has concluded, almost all hospitals, and pay physicians for the fight against COVID-19 already listed.
And commander in chief of the Armed forces of Ukraine Ruslan Homchak said that already prepared for the opening of the first control points of entry/exit (KPVV) on the demarcation line in the Donbas – they will open on June 10.
As reported “Today”, the health Ministry is already preparing for a possible second wave of the epidemic in the fall. They say that they will rely on the experience of the confrontation of the coronavirus, including which constraints are working, which are not. Now comes the containment phase of the epidemic, since it opens up certain sectors of the economy, and Ukraine is adapting to life in new conditions after the easing of the quarantine. Meanwhile, the chief sanitary inspector of the country Victor Lyashko told why Ukraine does not develop a vaccine against coronavirus.
