The Ukrainians explained how to cross the border of Russia and Belarus

Ukrainians will be able to cross the border between Belarus and Russia only by airplane, because these countries do checkpoints, and accordingly, there is no control. Appropriate recommendations posted on the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in Belarus.

As reported in Embassy, Russia, citing a lack of checkpoints on the border with Belarus, has banned the travel of third-country nationals, except for citizens of Russia and Belarus, including members of the diplomatic and administrative-technical staff of diplomatic missions, consular posts and representative offices of international organizations.

The Russian foreign Ministry said that border checks with Belarus only aircraft and recommended to cross the border by plane.

In this regard, the Embassy of Ukraine in Belarus has called on Ukrainians to refrain from trips through the Belarusian-Russian border by ground transport or on their own.

Recall, September 1 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed decree № 256/2017, which enacted the decision of the Council of national security and defense dated July 10, “On strengthening the control of entry to Ukraine, departure from Ukraine of foreigners and persons without citizenship, compliance with the rules of stay on the territory of Ukraine”.

According to the document, the NSDC instructed the Cabinet of Ministers within one month to ensure the implementation, with the participation of SBU comprehensive measures to strengthen control over the entry to Ukraine, departure from Ukraine of foreigners, including citizens of the Russian Federation, compliance with the rules of stay on the territory of Ukraine.
