General Director of Metinvest group Yuriy Ryzhenkov said there are three priorities for the new head of the Mariupol metallurgical Ilyich iron and steel works (Ilyich steel) of Taras Shevchenko. Ryzhenkov words appeared on the page of “Metinvest” on the social network Facebook, writes uaprom.info.
“Ecology and labor safety, modernization, cost. Here are three priorities that are important for us today. And these tasks I announced today the new head of Ilyich iron and steel works. In these three areas we have a good basis for improvements,” he said.
Recall that on 11 September 2017 for the position of General Director of Ilyich iron and steel works, part of the group “Metinvest”, assigned to Taras Shevchenko, former head of Alchevsk iron and steel works.
According to a press release, in his new role Shevchenko will continue the implementation of investment projects of MMK im. Lenin, such as the reconstruction of the sinter plant and sheet rolling shop “1700”, the construction of modern machines for continuous casting of objects out-of-furnace treatment of steel.
“Along with the development of programs to improve the efficiency of production, one of the key tasks of the new head will be the implementation of the commitments of the group “Metinvest” in order to continuously improve the environmental situation in Mariupol”, – underlined in the message.
