President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine in the future will meet the criteria required for membership in the EU and NATO.
About this Poroshenko said during celebrations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the world Congress of Ukrainians in Kiev today, transfers UNIAN.
“I am confident that in the future we can calculate the same coordination and cooperation on the part of the internals of the efforts of our government to defend the sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence of our state and the realization of our ambitious European and Euro-Atlantic goals, because some politicians within the country and abroad also do not believe that we will get and the prospect of EU membership and the prospect of membership in NATO,” he said.
“We will overcome these barriers, we will change the country. Ukraine will meet all the criteria required in order to apply for membership (in the EU and NATO – Ed.). We will continue our European and Euro-Atlantic path,” the President added.
