The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has instructed the government and Parliament to analyze the possibility of creating a Ministry of veterans Affairs. About this Poroshenko said during the opening ceremony of the memorial sign “Cossack cross freedom fighters” near the Holy resurrection Cathedral of the UOC-KP in Chernivtsi.
“2.5 years to the ATO was attended by 300 thousand Ukrainian soldiers … I Want to appeal to the Verkhovna Rada and the government with the request to analyze the possibility of creating a Ministry of veterans, because their example should be educated future generation of defenders of the Fatherland”, – he said.

“We will bring this experience to the most deserving Ukrainian soldiers, Ukrainian veterans experienced a true relationship to him, the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian state”, – the President added.
Previously Poroshenko said that the funding of the Ukrainian army of 1 billion 600 million hryvnias will be spent on purchase of modern weapons and military equipment.
