Egypt extended a state of emergency

Today, the Egyptian Parliament approved the decision of President Abdul Fatah Khalil Al-Sisi on the extension of emergency in the country for another three months. About it reports Reuters referring to the statement of the speaker of the house of representatives Ali Abdelaal.

“The reasons why state of emergency was declared, still exist, and therefore it is necessary to extend”, – he said in his speech.

We will remind, the Egyptian Parliament unanimously approved a three-month state of emergency in April, expanding the power of authorities, after two explosions in the churches of Coptic Christians in the cities of Alexandria and Tanta. Then 43 people died and over 100 were injured.

Later in may, the terrorists were shot with machine guns a bus carrying a group of Copts. The victims of the attack were 23 people, another 25 were injured.

As reported, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry urges citizens to refrain from trips to Egypt.
