The head of the Internet edition “Strenia” Igor Guzhva said the court decision on his arrest for two months with the alternative collateral in the amount of 544 thousand UAH. Video review of the detainee on his page in Facebook was published by the journalist Yuri Lukashin.
“From my side there is no corpus delicti. Therefore, to talk about the correctness of the decision can the prosecution or the defence,” said Guzhva.
Answering the question whether he is ready to pay a Deposit, Guzhva said that this decision, after talking with lawyers and friends. He also commented on the fact that there are “good people”, ready to bail him out.
“Well, look at good people. Yet nobody told me about it. Will need to communicate and to think,” said Guzhva.

On Friday morning, June 23, MP from the faction of the Radical party of Ukraine Dmitry Linko confirmed that editor-in-chief “Strenia” Guzhva demanded money from him.
On the same day, the press service of the Kiev Prosecutor’s office reported that head of the Internet edition “Strenia” Guzhva and his intermediary was detained on suspicion of committing a crime under part 3 of article 189 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (extortion in large amounts).
Towards evening the maximes reported that the notice of suspicion in committing a crime will be handed Guzhva until the end of the day. According to her, the prosecution intends to ask for Guzhva a measure of restraint in form of detention with possibility of bail, its amount is determined taking into account the risks and its financial status.
In turn, the Guzhva said that he “sew” rigged the case and it is alleged he was trying to provoke to get the money, from which, as he said, refused.
