Ukraine increases oil transit to Europe

Oil transit through Ukraine by pipelines to Europe in January-may 2017 increased by 5.6% compared to the same period of 2016 – up to 5,555 million tons. About it to Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” reported in the Ministry of energy and coal industry.

According to the volume of oil transportation to refineries of Ukraine in January-may 2017 amounted to 761 thousand tons, which is 30.6% (178,1 thousand tons) more than five months last year.

Thus, in January-may-2017 share of transit volume of oil transportation amounted to 88%, and the proportion of pumping to refineries of Ukraine – 12%.

Growth of supply in the country is associated with the resume section of the Odessa-Kremenchug, through which oil is supplied Azeri Light to PAO “Ukrtatnafta”.

As reported, Ukraine in January-may 2017 increased electricity exports by 40.6% compared to the same period of 2016 – up to 2,618 billion kWh.
