In Rada a bill on Ukraine’s membership in NATO

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy said that the priority of Ukraine’s accession to NATO needs to define in law.

“After the visit this week of the NATO parliamentary Assembly in Tbilisi and the results are extremely fruitful dialogue with our allies and partners of the Alliance decided that Ukraine’s membership in NATO as a priority of the state foreign policy should be determined at the legislative level”, − he wrote on his page in Facebook.

According to him, the Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill No. 6470, which proposed to amend the law “On foundations of domestic and foreign policy” and the law “On fundamentals of national security of Ukraine”.

Parubiy also noted that the adoption of this law will be an important sign for the allies of Ukraine.

We will remind, in April the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has approved the annual national cooperation program Ukraine – NATO.
