Russia is ready to negotiate with the United States on Donbass

Russia intends to intensify the bilateral dialogue with the US on resolving the situation in Donbas. This was reported by Izvestia Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov.

According to him, Russia expects soon the US will appoint a curator in the Department of state on this subject. Only after a successor is appointed Victoria Nuland, who was engaged in the Ukraine while Barack Obama may subject the discussion of Ukrainian settlement with the United States.

Meanwhile, the paper’s sources in the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, the role of the chief negotiator from Russia will remain a presidential aide Vladislav Surkov.

It is noted that, according to experts and politicians of the United States, “the American President Donald trump is ready to compromise on Ukraine in exchange for concessions from Russia in other matters.”

The newspaper said that “the bilateral dialogue on Ukraine will not be replacing the “Norman Quartet”, but rather, to help the implementation of the Minsk agreements”. However, as the publication said Ryabkov, “it’s all about the unwillingness of Kiev to follow them”.
