Groysman expects to find the necessary votes of the members for passage of pension reform by Parliament

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman hopes to find the necessary votes of people’s deputies for adoption of the pension reform by the Verkhovna Rada.

“I am deeply convinced that we will find the necessary votes in order for this reform was adopted,” he said in the air of “1+1” on Thursday.

The Prime Minister said that the reform project was developed with the participation of people’s deputies and they will participate in the discussion as experts.

As reported, the pension reform developed by the government, involves the gradual increase in seniority for retirement from 25 to 35 years.

The government of Ukraine in the framework of pension reform plans from October 1 this year to increase pensions, which will affect, according to preliminary estimates, 5.6 million Ukrainians, and to abolish the taxation of pensions to working pensioners.

The government version of the pension reform provides for raising the retirement age, and offers other tools to build a fair and balanced pension system.
