Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine ceased to recognize the diplomas of Ukrainian medical schools. This was stated by the Minister of education and science of Ukraine Liliya Hrynevych, the press service of the Ministry.
“Some countries have partially or completely ceased the recognition of our medical degrees. This, in particular, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and others, where in our medical schools traditionally come to learn a lot of students,” – said Grinevich.
The basis for such decisions call them a low score entering medical schools and the lack of access to internships.
According to the Minister, medical education in Ukraine is the highest rated among services for international students. So, of the more than 64 thousand students nearly 40% received education in medical specialties.
