According to him, this is the first important step of Ukraine to create conditions for Ukrainians in the occupied territories, so they wanted to go home.

“When we talk about the return of occupied territories through political and diplomatic means, it means creating conditions where the inhabitants would be interested to return to Ukraine and obtain Ukrainian passports. Living conditions in the occupied Donbas terrible,” – said the head of state.

Poroshenko said that the biometric passport and the possibility of free travel to Europe will be a great motivation for the population of Donbass and Crimea.
