Poroshenko has approved the ratification of the Convention with Malta for the avoidance of double taxation

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law “On ratification of the Convention between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Republic of Malta for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion regarding taxes on income and Protocol thereto”. About it reports a press-service of the President of Ukraine.

According to the report, the Convention between the governments of Ukraine and Malta on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion regarding taxes on income and Protocol thereto was signed on 4 September 2013 in Kiev.

“The document is an important step in the direction of expansion of the bilateral legal framework between Ukraine and the Republic of Malta, will contribute to deepening cooperation in trade-economic and investment spheres, in particular by reducing the reciprocal tax obstacles”, – stated in the message.

Recall, 13 April 2017, the Verkhovna Rada 280 th votes supported the law on ratification of Convention between governments of Ukraine and Malta on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion regarding taxes on income.

As reported, Poroshenko has approved the abolition of stamps for business.
