In Moscow detained a fugitive ex-MP Shepelev media

In the center of Moscow police detained the former people’s Deputy of Ukraine Alexander Shepelev. this is reported by “Izvestia”, citing an informed source.

According to the source, ex-MP, who declared in the international wanted list, is accused of misappropriation of property, forgery, and laundering the proceeds.

We will remind, in July 2013 Shepelev was arrested in Hungary, after which he was extradited to Ukraine. In July 2014, former MP escaped from the Kiev hospital along with escort, where he was kept in detention after deportation. Then he was declared wanted.

After that, in March 2015 he was detained in Russia, as was informed by the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol. 3 April of the same year the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine appealed to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation with the request for the extradition of former Shepeleva.

Odintsovo city court of Moscow region of the Russian Federation adopted the decision on detention Shepeleva until 28 April 2015. However, the decision on his extradition to Ukraine was not.

Shepelev is wanted on suspicion of committing a crime under article 115 part 2 item 6 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (premeditated murder from mercenary motives). Wanted ex-Deputy accused Ukraine in the embezzlement of funds of “Rodovid Bank” in especially large sizes and ordering several murders, including the former shareholder of the Bank Serhiy Dyadechko.
