The AMCU has fined a major mobile operator

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has fined PJSC “Kyivstar” by 43.52 thousand UAH for failure to provide information at the request of the state Commissioner of the Committee within a time limit.

As reported in Department, the requirement of AMC dated April 22, 2016.

In the AMC said that we are talking about one of the cases of concentration, but more detailed information will be announced later.

Kyivstar is the largest Ukrainian telecommunication operator that provides communication services and data transmission based on a broad range of fixed and mobile technologies, including 3G. Operator services are used by 26.1 million mobile subscribers and more than 814 thousand customers of the fixed Internet.

Net income “Kyivstar” in 2016 rose 11% to 14.96 billion, and EBITDA increased by 23.4% — to UAH 7,811 billion.
