This year, the government has no plans to revise the excise tax on alcohol. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
“No, we are not planning any increases. All of the settings that we put into the budget, they are permanent in 2017. Therefore, any changes in the course of the year we don’t plan,” said Groysman, answering the question of whether the government is going to revise the excise tax on alcohol.
We will remind, in the Verkhovna Rada not yet know when it will be to revise the excise tax on alcohol. Thus, according to her, twice to increase the excise tax on spirits in 2017 makes no sense.
