The implementation of education reform will cost $ 3 billion, so the changes will be implemented over several years. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
“The new law on education, the new education system of our country will cost $ 3 billion. And then the question arises, will we be able to do this based on the fact that we have economic problems today that have accumulated over decades, or not? Obviously, now that we can’t afford. This means that this reform will be prolonged in time, and it’s not very good,” – said Groisman during the conference on reforms in Ukraine on Thursday in London.
The Prime Minister noted that to obtain the effect of the education reform in 10 years, it needs to be now.
Later, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said that Groysman meant that the implementation of the reform requires significant resources, so its implementation will take several years.
We will remind, earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that education reform is one of the first priorities of the authorities. The head of state assured that the modern secondary education in Ukraine must focus not on the accumulation of knowledge and on their practical application.
