Poltorak: “Russia does not sell us any more ammunition.”

The Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak declared that Ukraine does not buy ammunition from Russia, and intends to apply to the partner countries. He stated this at a briefing, reports NewsOne.

According to him, Ukraine intends to establish its manufacturing of ammunition.

“We did not stop the purchase of ammunition, some we buy now. A week ago, the government adopted the concept on establishment of enterprises for the production of ammunition. And yet we buy them from our partners,” – said Poltorak.

He also denied rumors that Ukraine allegedly buys them from Russia: “No, Russia does not sell us ammo”.

Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the country must create the production of missiles and ammunition.
