Poroshenko has signed the law on allocation of land for the Museum of the revolution of Dignity

President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law of Ukraine “On amendments to section V “Final provisions” Law of Ukraine “On regulation of urban development” regarding the events to celebrate the feat of participants of Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of Heroes of Heavenly one hundred”. About it reports a press-service of the head of state.

The Law is aimed at the solution of a question on granting of the land in the Alley of Heroes Heavenly hundreds (Institutskaya str., 3) in the Pechersk district of Kiev from the lands of communal property in use of the National memorial complex of Heroes of the Heavenly hundred – the Museum of the revolution of Dignity. The corresponding plot is provided for construction, operation and maintenance of the memorial and Museum complex.

According to the Law, further changing the destination or owner (user) of the relevant land plot and the transfer of land or part thereof or premises of the memorial Museum complex lease/sublease is prohibited.

The law establishes that the construction of the memorial Museum complex should be carried out in accordance with the project developed on the basis of open competition to design this complex. The competition should be conducted in the order established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the construction project is approved subject to the results of public discussion of proposals.

Recall that the President signed a law was passed by the Verkhovna Rada on February 21. Earlier this document was identified by the head of state as an urgent priority for consideration by the Parliament.
