President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko believes that Ukrainian cinema has grown considerably and today has the record for all time of independence. This is stated in a message on Twitter.
According to him, the Ukrainians began to pay attention to the Ukrainian cinema.
“Now, together with experts looking for an effective formula for promoting national cinema, but most importantly, he was evaluated and started to support the audience,” – said Poroshenko.
The President also stressed that Ukrainian cinema has reached a new level compared to previous years.
“Last year there were more than 30 Ukrainian films. Such a figure would hardly impress Hollywood or bollywood, but that is a record since independence”, – added the head of state.
Recall that policy was laid in the state budget by 2017 half a billion hryvnias on the domestic cinema. “These 500 million will be invested in the development of film industry in Ukraine – this means that they will return billions to the budget”, – said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
