Poroshenko has signed the law on strengthening of social protection of children living in the occupied territories

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on strengthening social protection of persons residing on the temporarily occupied territories and in the settlements on the line of contact”. This was reported on the website of the President.

The document is aimed at strengthening state support for education in state and communal educational establishments for the relevant category of people who live in the temporarily occupied territories and settlements on the line of contact.

“Support will be implemented in the framework of the state target program will provide a set of events (in particular, full or partial payment of fees, provision of free textbooks, provision of scholarship, free accommodation in hostels, etc.). A number of these events and conditions will determine the Cabinet of Ministers”, – stated in the message.

It is envisaged that such state guarantee will serve as an additional leverage in the formation of a Pro-Ukrainian position among young people living in these areas, and will contribute to social adaptation.

We will remind, earlier Poroshenko said that Ukraine will require the extension of sanctions on those who seized the Ukrainian enterprises and factories in the Donbass.
