The candidate on a post of the Minister of labour of the USA Andrew Pazder had decided to withdraw his name from consideration, according to CNN, citing a senior representative of the American administration.
According to the broadcaster, the decision was made by Pazder, after members of the Republican faction in the Senate said that he did not receive enough votes for approval.
The report notes that the approval he needed to secure at least 50 votes of senators. The Republicans have 52 votes, but at least four members of this party have stated that they would not support his candidacy.
