The President of the United States Donald trump and his team a more balanced approach to Ukraine than their predecessors. This was stated to journalists the Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, RIA Novosti reported.
According to him, the new White house administration more accurately want to understand what is happening in Ukraine.
“What we hear and publicly – is a little more balanced assessment of what is really happening in Ukraine, or, more precisely, even the interest to understand more precisely” — said Kislyak.
However, he reminded that the new administration is in power for only 2.5 weeks, and the leadership of the state Department in just one week.
“Even if they have already formulated their new approaches, put them on paper and to explain in detail difficult. But I think that these approaches have not been established”, – said the diplomat.
The Ambassador was opposed in this matter to current and former US administration.
Kislyak stressed that the administration of former President Barack Obama did little to resolve the situation in Ukraine.
We will remind, the leader of the faction “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko visited the USA on a working visit, where he met with Donald trump. She noted that the American leader is well aware of what is happening in Ukraine, in particular, the situation in the Donbas and assured of the support of his party.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin reported that during a telephone conversation with President Petro Poroshenko trump among others interested in what is happening in the Donbas.
