How to start self-improvement: avoid five bad habits

For a complete happiness in his personal life and the working area must be constantly improved. But for this there are always obstacles, often in the form of bad habits.

To begin to cultivate, be sure you understand what daily actions are impeding your progress, says entrepreneur and blogger Thomas Oppong. This writes the New time with reference to The Mission.

“Your beliefs become thoughts, your thoughts become words, your words become actions, your actions become habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny”, – said the great Indian social and political activist Mahatma Gandhi.

Bad habits, from which you need to eliminate in order to live better:

1. Constant excuses.

“The only thing standing between you and your goal, is your excuse for why you can’t achieve this goal,” – said an American speaker-motivator Jordan Belfort. “I’m too tired”, “I don’t Have time”, “I can’t”, “It will do somebody else”, “it’s too late Now”, “I’m not talented enough”, “I’m afraid”, “what if I can’t do anything”, “I Have no money for it”… have not even begun to act, many people are looking for excuses and justifications to nothing to start.

To improve their lives and become happy, you need to push yourself, dare to step up and to step out of the comfort zone.

2. Dependency on smartphone and social networks.

Constant involvement in the updates the news feeds across all social networks and the inability to provide your smartphone a pending out or even off temporarily reduce the level of productivity of a person. If a person can not be online at least for some time, it will be hard to concentrate on solving business problems, achieve their goals.

Try for a certain period of time to postpone the smartphone to the side and you will see that your success will go up.

3. The inability to say “no.”

In a society made to believe that if a person denies anyone help, he’s rude. However, it so happens that when we constantly respond to the requests of others with the word “Yes”, we limit the creativity and productivity of themselves. Learn to say “no” when you need time for your own projects and tasks. And do not think that it is unconscionable.

4. Multitasking.

Science has proven that multitasking mode to work effectively, maybe only 2% of the population. In most cases, multitasking makes a person tense and experiencing continuous pressure on the brain. Many people think that employment in several cases in parallel will make them more productive and successful. Quantity is not always quality wins.

If you focus on one task and doing it well, you will achieve much better results than multitasking.

5. The eternal self-criticism.

Turn a negative and always criticizing inner voice and operate instead a positive. When you make a mistake, take the lesson and move on. Do not dwell on a bad experience.

Psychological studies show that success and prosperity come to those people whose self-esteem is quite high. People with low self-esteem and perpetual self-criticism are often subjected to emotional-behavioral disorders.
