The UN security Council will discuss the situation in the Donbas on 2 February

Permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko said that the security Council will discuss the situation in the East of Ukraine on 2 February, at a public meeting. This was reported in the Twitter of the Ukrainian mission.

“The UN security Council and Ukraine, as the Chair will monitor the development of the situation in the Donbass. Collect meeting on Ukraine on Thursday at 22:00”, – stated in the message.

It is noted that Ukraine February 1, will become Chairman of the UN security Council for a month.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that the U.S. state Department called for an immediate cease-fire in Eastern Ukraine to prevent a humanitarian crisis.
