According to the findings of the food and agriculture organization of the United Nations – FAO – Ukraine related to the number of States can become a global food donors. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine.
“According to the findings of FAO, Ukraine is related to the number of States that could potentially become the world food donors,” – said the head of the Department Taras Kutovoy.
Kutovoi said that to solve the world food crisis and increase the volume of grain production is extremely important are the issues of rehabilitation and development of irrigation systems.
“With the restoration and development of irrigation systems, Ukraine will have the opportunity to increase grain production to 100 million tons per year and to increase food in volumes sufficient for 400 – 500 million people,” said Kutovoy.
We will remind, Kutova working visit to Germany to participate in the Global forum for food and agriculture lasted three days. The forum was held in Berlin in the framework of the International agroindustrial exhibition “Green week”.
