Pension payments to residents temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions will be restored only after de-occupation of territories and the implementation of the Minsk agreements. This was stated in the air of “Radio Liberty” Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko, reports the press service of the Cabinet.
He noted that funds are paid in full, however, there is no possibility to make payments in the occupied territories.
“The charge of pensions to inhabitants of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions occurs in full. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian state is unable to pay pensions in the territories. The only way to restore payments in the occupied territories – is complete de-occupation and restoration where Ukrainian laws and bodies of state power of Ukraine”, – said the Minister.
He stressed that Ukraine is ready to pay all the money to the pensioners immediately after regaining control over the territories.
“I emphasize once again – all charges are made, we have a clear registries those people who because of the actions of the militants could not now obtain their money. And we guarantee that after full implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine, all pensions and social benefits to the people who remained in the occupied territories, will be paid”, – the Minister added.
Also Pavlo Rozenko said that the”modernizing” of pensions is one of the priority projects of the government, but for its implementation need an additional 30 to 40 billion UAH.
In 2017, as stated in the government in Ukraine can earn accumulative tier of the pension system. So, in addition to the Single social contribution (ERU), Ukrainians under the age of 35 years will have to pay an additional fee – to a personal retirement account.
