The objective of the law is the restoration of criminal liability for illicit enrichment, as well as the introduction of a recovery in state revenue of unjustified assets of persons authorized to perform state functions or local government.
In particular, the document supplements the criminal code of Ukraine new article 368-5 “Illicit enrichment”, according to which the purchase of the above entities assets valued at more than 6.5 thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens than their legitimate income, shall be punished by imprisonment for the term from 5 till 10 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years.
