With the filing of Poland, the EU agreed a new Declaration condemning the actions of the Kremlin
The European Union agreed on a Declaration of recognition of Russia as a country which is responsible for the conflict in Ukraine, and urging the Kremlin to ease tensions.
This was reported by Polish journalist Beata Plomacy, having received information from their own unofficial sources. The relevant provisions appear in the Declaration issued at the summit the EU and Japan.
“Not everyone wanted to accept the use of tough rhetoric about the responsibility of Moscow for the conflict in Ukraine”, – says the journalist.
According to her, the author of this initiative is Poland, which with the support of the Baltic States, Finland, Sweden, Holland and Denmark have made direct reference to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
“At the end was agreed compromise text, which refers to the illegal annexation of Crimea, and also that the European Union ever this does not recognize the annexation. But Russia called the country responsible for this conflict”, – said Planicka.
We will remind, earlier the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz called Russia a major challenge for national security of Poland and all neighbours of Russia.
And in January, the European Parliament adopted a resolution recognizing Russia as the inevitable hybrid and conventional threat for the EU and its member countries.
