Ukraine is concerned about Russian Federation’s decision to remove protection from the objects of the OSCE mission in the so-called “DNR” and “LNR”. This is stated in the statement of the MFA of Ukraine.
The foreign Ministry announced that Russia decided to deprive the OSCE office in Gorlovka (controlled by the rebels) physical security and now Kyiv is considering such actions as intimidation of observers.
“Undoubtedly, these purposeful steps are intended, among other things, to create additional artificial arguments proposed by Russia on the placement of UN peacekeeping forces for the sole purpose of protection of personnel of the OSCE SMM along the demarcation line. We believe that the security of SMM monitors of the OSCE during their mission remains one of the key obligations in the context of the implementation of the Minsk agreements, signed under which put and also Russian Federation as a party to the conflict”, – said in a statement.

In addition, Kiev has demanded from Russia to take custody of the objects of the OSCE in uncontrolled Kiev territory of Donbass. Ukraine also insists Russia has provided observers with free access to the occupied territories, including on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
As it became known today from the headquarters of the ATO, the militants of the so-called “DNR” refused to protect representatives of the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE.
We will remind, recently in the Kremlin said that UN peacekeepers can get on the Russian-Ukrainian border only as security of the OSCE observers, and permanent placement there is no question.
