According to him, the current weather conditions for thermal power plants burned about 30 thousand tons of anthracite, and to reduce its consumption of up to 20 thousand tons per day, thereby ensuring smooth operation of the TPP for 14-40 days, you need to keep the state of emergency in the energy sector.
“If in the coming days will not be resumed supplies of anthracite, it is necessary to introduce emergency situation in the energy sector”, – said Kovalchuk.
He stressed that the energy system of Ukraine can not do without the work of the anthracite, thermal power plants, which in any case needs to work even with minimum loading because it allows to produce electricity from nuclear power plants.
However, he said that if thermal power plants operating on anthracite, will be forced to stay in the low temperatures, it will stop the supply of heat from the stations in the cities, and can also be damaged equipment TPP.
