The national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has warned banks and other participants in the financial sector of Ukraine on the external hacker attack by an unknown virus. About it reports a press-service of the national Bank.
According to the report, the attack has already been made today, 27 June, several Ukrainian banks, as well as some commercial enterprises and public sectors.
In the result of a cyber attack affected banks experienced difficulties with customer service and banking operations.
“Now in the financial sector strengthened security measures and anti-hacking attacks of all financial market participants”, – noted in the NBU.
The national Bank believe in the strength of the protection of the banking infrastructure of Ukraine from scammers in cyberspace. The NBU also expressed confidence that the attempts of cyber attacks on information system of banks in Ukraine will be neutralized.
“The national Bank of Ukraine monitors the situation and will report on the current status of cyber security of the banking system”, – said the NBU.
We will remind, recently the hackers of the terrorist group “Islamic state” has made cyber attacks on government websites, placing a message in support of the terrorists.
