Russia at the moment can not surprise the world with nothing but military direction. This statement was made by the famous Russian writer Boris Akunin (Grigory Chkhartishvili), the radio station Echo of Moscow.
“The main danger of the current Russian vector, in my opinion, is that the country is losing time, misses a lot of opportunities for development, is increasingly lagging behind the leading countries,” says Akunin.
The writer continues: “What we are producing today? What a good surprise the world? If we leave aside the news about Syria and Ukraine, Russia in the eyes of the world – a country virtually invisible. In stores there are no Russian goods (except vodka, and then more non-Russian). No Russian scientific discoveries. There is no technology. Not a bright business projects. Yes, and new cultural phenomena, in General, either – the same contingent of Czechs with Malevich”.
“I am not going to go into the reasons for stagnation in Russian – it will take up too much space. I will say briefly: correctly arranged state hinders the development of the country. If the state for several years to fix, it may again fall apart – as happened with the Soviet Union”, – said the moon.
