The head of the main service centre of the Ministry of internal Affairs Vladislav Crickley explained the situation with possible regular replacement of the rights, transfers AUTO-Consulting.
According to him, all the changes are still under development and amendments to the law “On road traffic” will be made only after public discussion.
As noted Crickley, the bill will be submitted to Parliament in the second half of 2017. According to plans, interior Ministry, driving license will need to be replaced every 15 years, and category C and D every 5 years.
Replacement rights will be accompanied by a medical examination. Possible exams to confirm skills is open to question and is considered only for categories C and D (commercial vehicles).
Also keep in mind that the law is not retroactive in time. That is, driving permit, obtained prior to the entry into force of the new rules will be in effect 30, 50 years or indefinitely.
In addition, Crickley argues that in the near future will create an electronic registry of medical certificates. Change and the system of obtaining rights – will be introduced new exam fees.
