The lawyer of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych Vitaliy Serdyuk said that funds – $ 1.5 billion, which are now confiscated – do not belong to his client. He declared it on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
According to him, on account of Yanukovych is “only” 28 million hryvnia, which are not confiscated.
“I completely deny this information. To date, in connection with its active spread of protection was even filed a lawsuit to the Pechersk court on its denial. On hand I have statements of Viktor Yanukovych with the “Oschadbank”, there is a totally different amount. We are talking about 28 million UAH, which is arrested and which are not to be confiscated now. This money is his personal account, his personal savings from which were paid all taxes. Therefore, the latter, actively distribute information about the seizure of funds, their confiscation and seizure is completely untrue”, – said Serdyuk.
As it became known today, the court of last resort allowed to take arrested $ 1.5 billionthat belonged to the entourage of Viktor Yanukovych and to return them to the budget. Now the authorities plan to spend the money for the needs of Ukraine, primarily on the defense industry.
