After the vote in the European Parliament on granting Ukraine visa-free regime, it is expected the decision of the EU Council. About it to journalists on the sidelines of the 10th anniversary of the Kyiv security forum, said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“I have a biometric passport number 1. It was when we started issuing biometric passports. And now together make the effort to speed up and simplify the issuance of biometric passports. Although I want to emphasize that this is not the opening of the border. Still, we expect the decision of the EU Council and work diligently to this date no one moved, not delayed. Because you see that the enemies are not asleep. We heard yesterday at the Pro-Putin representatives who tried to encourage as well as some of our internal fifth column with the same arguments, not to give “bezviz”, or to postpone it,” – said Poroshenko.
He noted that only the joint work of all political forces in the middle of the state and beyond will make sure that all is well.
On specifying question of journalists about the brakes if France granting Ukraine “bezveze”, the President said, “I think not”.
