In Parliament, Lavrov responded harshly to the “bold” proposal for peacekeepers

Moscow is trying to portray the agreement on the peacekeepers, but this in no way influenced the course of hostilities in the Donbass. Commented on “supply” Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, the MP Dmitry Tymchuk on his page on Facebook.

“Moscow is trying to portray the agreement on the peacekeepers, but this in no way influenced the course of hostilities in the Donbass, and not bound by invaders. That was clear as soon as Putin suddenly supported the idea of peacekeepers,” – wrote the MP.

He noted that Moscow’s desire to put observers “protection” can only affect the efficiency of monitoring, but not for de-escalation of the conflict.

In addition, Tymchuk believes that peacekeepers are not “crossed” with the Minsk agreement, as it declared Lavrov.

“The Minsk agreements no hint of a ban of a peacekeeping operation. On the contrary, if provided for by the Minsk agreements, the ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons is not valid from February 2015, that at least here the peacekeepers could help. Honestly, I initially thought that this is the cunning plan of the Kremlin: perform with the help of peacekeepers, first paragraph of Minsk, and then to put pressure on Kiev – say, now do the political part with local elections and other clowning under the leadership of the Russian Federation. On the cunning plan of Putin’s brain is not enough. It is too like, as in the Donbass poured Ukrainian blood”, – said the politician.

As stated by Sergei Lavrov, Moscow’s proposal for peacekeepers in the Donbas applies only to the protection of the OSCE mission and only in the framework of the Minsk agreements. Any other purpose of the peacekeeping mission will mean the crossing of these agreements.
