The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law “On ratification of the agreement between Ukraine and the government of Malaysia on extradition”, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 22 February 2017. About it reports a press-service of the head of state.
According to the document, Ukraine and Malaysia pledged to give each other on request in accordance with its own domestic law of persons wanted by the other party, for the purpose of criminal prosecution or the imposition or enforcement of a sentence.
The President also signed the Law “On ratification of the agreement between Ukraine and the government of Malaysia on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters”, which provides for assistance in the investigation and trial of criminal cases.
The document was voted by Parliament on February 22.
