The Commission will carry out state regulation, monitoring and control in transport
The Verkhovna Rada registered the bill No. 3927, which involves the creation of the National Commission carrying out regulation in the sphere of transport, writes “RBC-Ukraine”.
This was announced by MP, Chairman of the Subcommittee on railway transport Alexander skichko.
The draft law envisages the establishment of a National Commission, which will implement state regulation, monitoring and control in the sphere of transport.
“It is extremely important to create NCRT. First of all, this Commission should prevent unjustified manipulation of prices and tariffs on the part of monopolists in the market of transport services. For 10 months we never received a bill for consideration from the Ministry of transport and infrastructure, so we finished the work with the deputies on his own draft law. Before we held hearings, consulted with many businesses and key stakeholders, which may be related to the new law. All comments were considered. Today registered,” says skichko.
The bill says about the use of rail tracks, dispatcher services, stations and other infrastructure, ensuring the movement of railway transport, air traffic control, as well as specialized services in river ports, sea fishing ports and airports.
