Scared off the Russians: American bombers have experienced over the Black sea’s newest anti-ship missile (Duma, Ukraine)

American bombers b-1B Lancer that made Friday far a RAID over Europe, Ukraine and the Black sea, have experienced the latest American anti-ship missile air-based AGM-158C LRASM. About it reports a press-service of the U.S. air force in Europe.

LRASM is developing a stealth cruise missile JASSM. For minimal radar signature fuselage of the rocket is made using composite carbon materials. The missile is equipped with a penetrating high-explosive warhead weighing 454 kg.

It is assumed that the launched missile can stay in the air for a long period of time, identifying the detected objects until, until you find the ship, similar in characteristics to the intended target. When launching multiple missiles, they will exchange information, to carry out an independent search and to send each other the coordinates of the detected target, to form a General scheme of attack, taking into account different conditions. Missiles should also be able to perform complex evasive maneuvers, use of electronic warfare measures to break through enemy air defenses.

The main purpose of developing LRASM is the ability to act autonomously, without pre-programming of reference points of course, detecting the target without external target designation.
