Hackers attacked the European Parliament: these 1,200 people flowed into the Network

Cyber criminals stole the data about accounts and passwords of officers and employees of the EP

Shortly after the European Parliament approved a 1.2 billion Euro loan for Ukraine, hackers attacked the institution and exhibited in the open access of confidential information 1200 of its employees.

According to Politico, this information contains the accounts and encrypted passwords of officials and employees of the EP. In addition, the open access were the data of 15 thousand accounts of specialists in EU Affairs.

In particular, the attack has affected members of the largest political faction in the Parliament – the European people’s party, which often protects the interests of Ukraine.

The representative of the party Pedro lópez de Pablo confirmed to the publication that leaked a database containing email addresses and passwords.

Thus, according to him, this database refers to the year 2018 and at the moment is outdated. It is noted that now the data is withdrawn from public access.

We will remind, earlier this month became aware of the hacker attack on the office of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which with its two work e-mails in total were stolen about 16 gigabytes of data.

And in December, the network got a secret trade documents of the US and the UK, involvement in the British service cybersecurity suspected cyberboys associated with the Russian government.
