In Ukraine intend to abolish three tax on electric cars

In Ukraine are going to remove the excise duty, VAT and PF for electric cars, and, perhaps, to compensate owners of electric cars are part of the value. It is reported by “Autocentre”.

After three years, the share of electric vehicles should be 15% of all cars sold. This was during the roundtable said the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan.

To reach this target, the Cabinet plans to make electric cars more attractive for the Ukrainian motorists. First of all, the government will try to reduce the cost of electric models. The transport Ministry plans to abolish the tax on electric vehicles in Ukraine, as well as VAT and pension Fund tax for the first registration. In total, this will provide an opportunity to reduce cost by 21.6%.

According to Volodymyr Omelyan, the Ministry also considered the option of compensation of the cost of the electric vehicle. Such benefits exist in the USA and many European countries.

In addition Vladimir Omelian does not exclude that in the future Ukraine may start the production of electric vehicles and this will reduce their cost. The Minister believes that potential investors can be Volkswagen, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Nissan, Fiat.
