Tilapia is prized for its high content of protein and polyunsaturated fatty acids. To prepare it simply, and the number of recipes with this fish is huge.

We offer to bake the tilapia along with potatoes, onions and tomatoes under a cheese crust. If you don’t like onions, replace it with a handful of chopped olives.

Cooking time:

  • 1.5 hours


  • 164 kcal per 100 g


  • 6 tilapia fillets
  • 6-8 pieces of potatoes
  • 1-2 tomatoes
  • 1-2 bulbs
  • 3 tbsp sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 100 grams of cheese
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, spices – to taste

Method of preparation:

  • Fish pre-defrost, rinse and Pat dry with paper towel.
  • Cut the tilapia pieces. Add to sliced fillet of lemon juice, sour cream or mayonnaise, salt and spices for fish. Mix everything well and leave the fish to marinate for half an hour.
  • At the end, before cooking, add the sliced tomatoes. Form for baking grease with oil and place evenly sliced potatoes.
  • Season with salt and sprinkle potatoes with spices. On top lay sliced onions feathers. Onions put the marinated tilapia with tomatoes. Cover with foil and bake at 200 º C for about 30-40 minutes.
  • Then remove the foil, sprinkle everything with grated cheese and cook for another 10 minutes.

    Fish with potatoes in the oven ready. Serve it with a salad of fresh vegetables.
